Russia says it bombed US and European weapons near Ukraine’s Odesa

Russia has struck a army airfield near Ukraine’s southwestern metropolis of Odesa with missiles, destroying drones, missiles and ammunition equipped to Ukraine by the USA and its European allies, the defence ministry stated on Tuesday (Could 3).

“Excessive-precision Onyx missiles struck a logistics centre at a army airfield within the Odesa area via which overseas weapons had been being delivered,” the defence ministry stated.

“Hangars containing unmanned Bayraktar TB2 drones, in addition to missiles and ammunition from the US and European nations, had been destroyed,” it stated.

Russian missiles and artillery additionally struck varied army targets throughout Ukraine, together with command centres, arsenals, and an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.

The governor of Odesa, Maksym Marchenko, stated a rocket strike had hit the Black Sea port metropolis on Monday night, inflicting deaths and accidents.
